About Strength After Service

Strength After Service is a resource for veterans, active-duty service members, and their partners navigating the physical, emotional, and relational changes that can follow military service.

Service shapes the body and nervous system in lasting ways. Stress exposure, disrupted sleep, chronic pain, medications, and the challenges of reintegration can all affect health, intimacy, and confidence—sometimes long after a uniform comes off. These changes are common, but they’re rarely talked about clearly or without stigma.

Our goal is to change that.

We publish practical, research-informed content on topics like sexual health, PTSD and trauma, sleep and recovery, relationships, and the everyday health conditions that disproportionately affect veterans. We also speak directly to partners, who often carry questions and concerns of their own while trying to be supportive.

Strength After Service is not about fixing anyone or pushing quick solutions. It’s about understanding what’s happening, reducing unnecessary pressure, and helping individuals and couples make informed decisions about their health and relationships.

We believe strength isn’t just about endurance—it’s about awareness, support, and knowing when to ask better questions.

Whether you’re adjusting after deployment, managing long-term service-related health changes, or supporting someone who is, Strength After Service exists to help you navigate what comes next with clarity and respect.
